This project documents the LGBT Pride Parade held in Kraków in 2021, capturing a powerful moment of visibility, resilience, and solidarity within a challenging social and political climate. In a country where LGBT rights remain heavily contested, the parade represented more than a celebration it was a statement of presence, dignity, and demand for equality.
Through visual storytelling and on-the-ground documentation, this project explores the atmosphere of the march: the energy of the crowd, the symbolism of flags and signs, the expressions of hope and defiance, and the contrast between joy and tension. It highlights the courage of individuals and communities who continue to advocate for fundamental human rights despite legal and social restrictions.
The work aims to preserve a significant cultural moment while encouraging reflection on freedom, identity, and the ongoing struggle for equality in Poland and beyond.
